Outline:

Using Mobile and Social apps to drive interest in your destination - in this talk, I will examine how all stakeholders in the tourism industry can use simple, low cost tools to drive engagement with current and potential visitors. I will showcase examples of Facebook applications, online campaigns and smartphone apps that have driven interest and generated headlines for various destinations and companies. I will examine how easy it is to use location based tools to promote your company or your destination, and I will look at how these promotions can be used to generate free publicity in the online and offline media.
