Success of 3rd Arab international
E-tourism & E-marketing Conference
13-16 December 2010 Luxor-Egypt

The successful completion of the 3rd Arab International E-Tourism and E-Marketing conference, held by IOETI (International Organization for the Electronic Tourism Industry), commenced on December 13th till the 16th, 2010, in the historic town of Luxor, Egypt.
Over 25 international speakers and industry professionals showcased to an enthusiastic crowd, of over 300, the benefits and value of e-marketing and e-tourism.
During his opening speech, Dr. Yahia Abu El Hassan, President of IOETI, noted that the third occurrence of this event emphasizes the role of IOETI in supporting the e-marketing and e-tourism industry within the Middle East and developing countries.
Worldwide figure of internet users is now approximately 2 billion, and research shows that 43% of all internet users visited an online travel site at least once in March 2002. This confirms the predominance of the sector and highlights the significance of fully understanding all its potential.
During the second day Module University from Vienna provided valuable workshops, discussing the most innovative and up to date e-marketing tools and techniques worldwide and how they may be applied to the tourism sector specifically within Egypt and the middle east.
