From his base in Southern California, professional travel photographer, author and award-winning travel blogger Ralph Velasco teaches and speaks at a variety of institutions including the University of California Irvine Extension, the Irvine Fine Arts Center, Saddleback College and Santa Ana College.

Mr. Velasco leads a variety of photography tours to locations around the world, including Eastern Europe and Egypt. In Cuba he’s been part of two humanitarian trips with other Americans who provided much needed school and medical supplies to benefit the Cuban people. He also leads over 20 distinct PhotoWalkingTours throughout Chicago, San Francisco and various parts of San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange Counties, in Southern California, with more in development.

Ralph’s newest project, the My Shot Lists for Travel app for iPhone, was recently completed and released through iTunes. It’s based on his Capturing the Essence of a Place photography class.
