  • Supply IOETI’s members with the latest Technology to support their online presences.

Mission:
 
a-  Create an International E-Tourism Protective Organization focusing on the Middle East, and providing the highest code of ethics for all members.

b- Support IOETI's members in using the most current technology of e-marketing for the tourism industry. This will assist IOETI's members in reducing expenses and raising sales to ensure continued viability.

c- IOETI's executive committee will assist members in reaching the highest professionalism in presenting on-line services.

d- Use IOETI's Seal of approval will help protect E-tourism and travel service providers from intruders and web hackers.

e- Establish an equitable competitive environment allowing all members an equal opportunity to promote their online products and services.

 f- Provide training and educational programs for IOETI members, particularly in the Middle East Region. This will help develop their professionalism throughout the world, as well as provide a valuable networking tool.

Objectives:

1. Protect customers through a worldwide comprehensive manual that includes all authorized and certified travel and tourism service providers with the seal of approval given by IOETI.
 
2. Form an international collaboration powerful enough to issue protective laws for its members.

3. Support E-tourism business in becoming a recognizable sector of the travel and tourism market.

4. E-market IOETI member’s products and services to minimize costs and maximize sales.

5. Assist members in building, developing and marketing their online presence in a professional manner.

6. Offer the most current and effective E-tourism consultancy for both corporations and individuals.

7. Provide training and educational programs for IOETI members, particularly in the Middle East Region. This will help develop their professionalism throughout the world, as well as provide a valuable networking tool.

8. Release a multi-lingual monthly newsletter highlighting IOETI achievements.

9. Hold an annual members conference providing a forum for tourism and travel industry professionals to discuss recent news, trends and future developments in E-tourism.

10. Encourage and support the safe use of credit cards for online payments.

11. Nominate an online executive committee from different nationalities to develop IOETI services and open new avenues of business.

12. Publish an advertising guide book and CD in different languages to be made available in most travel fairs, exhibitions and touristic sites.
 
13. Work with banks throughout the world to provide solutions for receiving secure payment online.

14- Support social activities for IOETI members to exchange experiences and knowledge.

Goals:

1- Develop e-tourism worldwide, specifically in developing countries in order to increase revenues and sustainability. This can be achieved by the following:

  • Introducing the opportunity for new jobs.
  • Reinforcing the role of e-tourism in the sustainable development of the country.
  • Revitalizing the effect of e-tourism in the region both socially and economically.
  • Raising awareness of e-tourism among citizens.
  • Developing e-tourism education by running training programs and marketing tourism via the Internet.
  • Exploring new tourism opportunities in underdeveloped countries, to help eradicate poverty by creating new job opportunities ensuring viable income opportunities.
  • Upgrading touristic sites in the Arab world to meet international standards.
  • Opening new e-tourism markets via the Internet.
  • venturing new online markets.
  • Establishing a council to revitalize e-tourism by creating a professional website to provide updated information on international tourism.
  • Investing in and promote tourism via the Internet.
  • Designing an internationally unified website for different geographical blocks, especially in developing countries.
  • Publicizing information on the 1st International Conference of IOETI.
  • Plan the strategy of international tourism via the Internet through a specialized, comprehensive multilingual website to promote tourism products.
  • Developing and publicize the culture of tourism marketing via the Internet.
  • Boosting the competition of tourism products and services at the national level, especially in developing countries in order to secure more standardized products.

2- Encourage tourists to plan their trips electronically to create channels between and within countries such as the Middle East, Latin America, North African countries, Africa, and the Far East.

3. Legislations and Intellectual Property Rights

  • Make recommendations to governments to issue unified laws to protect information provided via the Internet inside and across borders.
  • Discuss the effect of laws on electronic transactions and ways of protecting these laws.
  • Impose tough penalties on hacking and spying on information sent electronically.
  • Implement recommendations on specialized Internet laws.
  • Create an Internet Authority for Cyber crimes similar to Interpol.
  • Adapt new legislation for Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Consider the possibility of creating new codes of the law locally and internationally to protect electronic transactions.

4. Increase the knowledge of e-tourism through educational programs and training.

  • Advise and provide technical help to ministries and councils of tourism worldwide.
  • Protect creativity in the domain of e-tourism.
  • Eradicate the ignorance of using technology, and create a new technology generation with better work opportunities and income.
  • Exchange experiences in e-tourism both locally and internationally especially in developing countries.
  • Establish an advanced educational degree for e-tourism, by a recognized and experienced university in this field.
  • Share knowledge on the latest research and developments in e-tourism to the companies and agents working in this field.
  • Compile feedback and the recommendations of travel agents, companies, and hotels on the impediments and advantages / benefits of e-tourism.
  • Compile a “Best Practices” guide, which would offer financial and technical advice to travel companies and hotels to help them initiate e-tourism in their businesses by providing them with technical equipment, programming, and training facilities.
